Blair Leisure was born and raised in New York City. She has a Master’s Degree in Wildlife Biology and taught wildlife biology for two years at the Institute of Forestry in Nepal through the U.S. Peace Corps. Blair has traveled extensively and worked in France, New Zealand, Australia, Alaska, and Nepal. She has spent the past decade working as a wetland scientist and wildlife biologist in Denver, Colorado.

Her artistic endeavors began as a young girl when her father gave her an oil paint set. She strived to learn how to draw and paint as he could. Blair has taken many drawing and painting classes at The University of Colorado and The Art Students League in both New York City and Denver.

Blair appreciates the support and encouragement of many close friends and family. She wants to express great thanks to her sister Kathleen, her Mom and Dad, her friends Kim and Steve Warhoe, Carmel and Terry Gill, Rita Mann, Jack Adelfang, Neil and Jan Peck, Ken and Ruth Wright, Terri Shelfontiak, Gabi Frangas, Tom Gardener, Kit Cohen, Maggie Rael, Liz Kreis, and many others for believing in her work and inspiring her to continue to paint.
